Hi Everyone

 

The 2023 Old Boys Summer Season has kicked off with registration opening on February 18th,2023. As preparation begins we wanted to share some updates and look for help this summer.

 

News and Updates

At our AGM this past January Marc Pitre has stepped down as the Club President. The Fredericton Old Boys would like to thank Marc for helping guide the Club over the past 5 years.

 

• During the AGM Ben LeBlanc was voted in as new Club President which left a void in the Equipment Manager role. Jason Malone has agreed to take on the role.

 

• Registration is open for 2023. See our website for the link to register and please share with anyone you know who would be interested in joining the club.

 

• We have put a request in to UNB to use the BMO field on Sunday nights. If they approve our dates we will be able to have all games played in Div 1 on Sunday nights between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM across 3 fields.

 

• We have put a request in to the City of Fredericton to have our Div 2 League play out of Grant Harvey Turf on the South Side this year.

   

• Referees Needed. If you are interested in becoming a referee please email frederictonwestrefs@gmail.com

   

• New Managers Needed

   

  • We need a Manager for Div 1 and 2 Managers for Div 2. If you are interested in becoming a manager please email frederictonoldboys@gmail.com

 

• Spring Kick off Tournament April 29th, 2023

   

  • This year we are hosting a 7v7 Pre Season Kick-Off tournament.

    If you would like to help organize this tournament please email frederictonoldboys@gmail.com

  • More details will be sent in March.

 

 

 

Sponsorship News

We are happy to announce that Windsor Court and Cedar Valley Investments have returned as sponsors this year for Div 1. River Valley Health Solution and The Fredericton Inn are returning as sponsors in Div 2.

Many thanks to club members Marcel Ogon, Louis Youssef, Wendy Yano and Ian Crook, for their continuing support of the Club.

 

We are in the process of securing Sponsors and below is what we need to confirm over the next few weeks. If you know any businesses who would be interested in sponsoring a team, please email frederictonoldboys@gmail.com and we will provide you with the Sponsorship package.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for individuals to join our Community Engagement Committee. The role of this Committee is to help drive the Old Boys brand within Fredericton. Below are some of the areas this group will focus on.

• Sponsor Relations

• Community Volunteering, ie Harvest Jazz, Greener Village.

• Quarterly Social Events.

• Help Guide our Empowerment Fund.

 

The Club cannot run without Volunteers
